Area of the Study&#13;
As a significant determinant of employee motivation of an employee, this study is to discuss the impact of organizational rewards of employee motivation of operational level employees in the Sri Lankan large scale apparel sector in Colombo district.&#13;
Problem of the Study&#13;
This research study attempts to explore the impact of organizational rewards to employee motivation of operational level employees in the Sri Lankan large scale apparel sector. Thus the research problem of this study was; “Do the organizational rewards have an impact on employee motivation of operational level employees in the Sri Lankan large scale apparel sector in Colombo district.&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The data were collected from a convenience sample of 200 operational level employees in the large-scale apparel industry with a questionnaire consisted 39 questions with five point Likert Scales. Univariate analysis as well as bivariate analysis applied to analyze the data with the SPSS 16.0 (Version).&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
The result of the study emphasizes that there is a positive impact of organizational rewards on Employee motivation of operational level employees. Also, it was proved that there is a significant strong positive impact of intrinsic, extrinsic rewards on operational level employee motivation. In addition, pay and praise from supervisors have a great impact on reward.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
It is concluded that both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards are significant predictors of employee motivation and both can be used to enhance the level of employee motivation of operational level employees in the Sri Lankan large scale apparel sector in Colombo district.

This study attempts to identify the impact of job stress on job performance among operational level employees in two selected electrical manufacturing companies in Colombo district, Sri Lanka.&#13;
Problem of the Study&#13;
There is an empirical knowledge gap in Sri Lankan context on the impact of job stress on job performance of operational level employees in electrical manufacturing companies. This study is aimed to investigate what is the impact of job stress on job performance among operational level employees of two selected electrical manufacturing companies in Colombo district, Sri Lanka.&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The data were collected from a randomly selected sample of 108 operational level employees of two selected electrical manufacturing companies in Colombo district, Sri Lanka by administering a structured questionnaire, which consisted of 38 questions/ statements with 5 point scale. The data analysis included the univariate and bivariate analyses.&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
This study found that there is a strong positive relationship between workload and job performance and there is a weak negative relationship between role conflict and role ambiguity with the job performance among production assistants of the two selected electrical manufacturing companies in Colombo district, Sri Lanka.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
It is concluded that the workload is positively associated with job performance while role conflict and role ambiguity are negatively associated with the job performance among production assistants of two selected electrical manufacturing companies in Colombo district, Sri Lanka. Thus, job performance of employee is significantly based on the job stress. Hence, it can be concluded that job stress is a major factor which can affect the job performance of the all operational level employees in the electrical manufacturing industry.

Problem of the Study&#13;
There is an empirical and knowledge gap in the Sri Lankan context on the relationship between physical working conditions and job performance of operational employees. The research problem of this study: Is there an impact of physical working condition on employee job performance of large scale garment factory in Galle district?&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The data were collected from a random sample of 100 operational employees in a garment factory in Galle district and used a structural questionnaire, which indicate the statement of physical working condition and job performance with 5 points Likert scale. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the SPSS computer package (Version 16).&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
The major finding of the study is that physical working condition is positively correlated with employees’ job performance. Moreover, four main dimensions of physical working condition namely workplace noise, temperature, air quality and lighting condition identified for the study. It was found that those are positively correlated with employees’ job performance.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
Final result of the study reveals that workplace noise, temperature, air quality and lighting condition are positively impact on operational employees’ job performance. In conclusion, physical working condition of organization positively impact on their employees’ job performance.

Problem of the Study&#13;
There is an empirical knowledge gap in the relationship between alternative work schedules and work-family balance of employees in Sri Lanka. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to identify the relationship between alternative work schedules and work-family balance of employees in the consumer durable sector in the Colombo district, Sri Lanka.&#13;
Method of the study&#13;
The data were collected from a sample of 200 employees in two consumer durable companies in Colombo district. A structured questionnaire which consisted 32 items based on alternative work schedules and 21 items for work-family balance with five point Likert scales were used to collect primary data. The analyses were done by using univariate analysis and correlation analysis with the SPSS (16.0 Version).&#13;
Findings of the Study&#13;
It was found that alternative work schedules options have a positive relationship with the work-family balance of employees in the consumer durable sector in Sri Lanka.&#13;
Conclusion of the Study&#13;
It was found that there is a strong positive correlation between alternative work schedule options and work-family balance except flexplace work. The results of the correlation analysis showed flextime, part-time and shift work have a strong positive correlation and flexplace has a weak positive correlation.
