The end of cold w ar had m arked a beginning of new w orld order. China and India becam e significant
* actors for their gradual rise into great stature in international politics. The developm ents in international
~ politics su ch a s terrorism had posed threats and open econom ic policy created new opportunities.
Those developm ents required cooperation am ong the U S. China and India. The relations am ong the
three nations had been conceptualized a s strategic triangle following the realist sch o o l of international
:• poljtics w here U S w as perceived a s the pivot actor. The objective of the study w as to m ap the content
of relationship am ong U S. China and India through a historical perspective. Consequently, an attempt
). w as made to predict fire possib le direction of th is triangular relations and m otives for su ch relations
resulted in new type w orld order characterized by m ultipolar pow ers w hile United States rem aining a s
