Buddhassa bhagavato dhammo buddhadhammo nāma. So dhammo tena bhagavatā jānatā
passatā arahatā sammāsambuddhena desito hoti. Tathāgato so arahaṃ sammāsambuddho loke
uppajjitvā “imaṃ lokaṃ sadevakaṃ samārakaṃ sabrahmakaṃ sassamaṇabrāhmaṇiṃ pajaṃ
sadevamanussaṃ sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā pavedesi. So dhammaṃ desesi ādikalyāṇaṃ
majjhekalyāṇaṃ pariyosānakalyāṇaṃ sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ; kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ
brahmacariyaṃ pakāsesi” (Vinatapitaka III p.1). So dhammo sandiṭṭhiko hoti akāliko ehipassiko
opanaiko paccattaṃ veditabbo ca.
Tasmiṃ dhamme yo saddhaṃ niveseti jātasaddho so upasaṅkamati, upasaṅkamanto
payirupāsati, payirupāsanto sotaṃ odahati, ohitasoto dhammaṃ suṇāti sutvā dhammaṃ dhāreti,
dhatānaṃ dhammānaṃ atthaṃ upaparikkhati, atthaṃ upaparikkhato dhammā nijjhānaṃ
khamanti, dhammanijjhānakkhantiyā sati chando jāyati, chandajāto ussahati, ussahitvā tuleti,
tulayitvā padahati, pahitatto samāno kāyena ceva paramasaccaṃ sacchikaroti paññāya ca naṃ
ativijjha passati (Majjhimanikaya II p. 173). Ayaṃ pana tassa bhagavato dhammassa osānikaṃ
phalaṃ.
Tassa bhagavato dhammamassa atthaṃ bodhetuṃ atha va dhammanijjhānakkhantiyā
sakkaccaṃ dhammaṃ suṇitabbaṃ, sakkaccaṃ dhammaṃ pariyāyapuṇitabbaṃ, sakkaccaṃ
dhammaṃ dhāretabbaṃ, sakkaccaṃ dhatānaṃ dhammānaṃ atthaṃ upaparikkhitabbaṃ. Yasmā
ca kho atthaṃ upaparikkhati tasmā dhammā nijjhānaṃ khamanti. Tasmā
dhammanijjhānakkhantiyā atthūpaparikkhā bahūkārā'ti veditabbā yathā bhagavatā Caṅki-suttante
vuttanayen.
Kā esā atthūpaparikkhā. Samīpato samantato atthassa vīmaṃsanā atthūpaparikkhā nāma.
