Abstract:
Cement is the primary material for building and civil engineering constructions. Therefore, the cement
manufacturing sector plays a vital role in the nation’s economic development. The objective of this research is
to identify the environmental impacts of cement industry, propose solutions, and improve the sustainability of
the cement industry. The main environmental issues associated with cement production are the consumption of
raw materials and energy use as well as emissions to air.
